BIOGRAPHY OF DR. TONYA D. LEWIS

A servant, worshiper, and lover of Almighty God!

While working in Corporate America, Dr. Lewis was called by God to full-time ministry.  After ministering for several years, in 1986 she was licensed as an Evangelist Missionary by the Church of God in Christ.

In 2008, she was ordained a Pastor as sanctioned by the Saints of Value World Ministries.  For nearly 50 years, she has joyfully dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom work, serving in numerous leadership capacities.

After volunteering for over 17 years, she was invited by Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. to become a member of his Administrative Team where she founded and directed the Volunteer Services, and the “Vessels of Love” Bereavement Ministries.

Dr. Lewis is the Director of The Overcomers Bible Fellowship; Founder and Executive Producer of the Christian Enrichment Production (CEP) Media Ministries and the Communication Angels Ministry; and the Founder/CEO of “One Faith Fellowship”.  One Faith Fellowship is a non-denominational ministry that also offers annual red-carpet celebrations for individuals to appreciate special persons in their lives.

Dr. Lewis was a weekly columnist for the ACC News for many years and is currently a weekly columnist for the Raise the Praise Christian Newspaper; and a writer for the Ekklesia Christian Magazine. 

Dr. Lewis has penned over 700 publications of the world-wide weekly One Faith Fellowship on-line newsletter.  All to the glory and honor of God!!!

Among the many commendations, are the Henrietta Mears Adult Teacher Award. Henrietta Mears was the Sunday School teacher of the great Evangelist Billy Graham; Dr. Lewis was selected by the McDonald Douglas Corporation as one of the seven outstanding Sunday School Teachers in the nation.  She has also received the “Industrious Woman of Excellence Award.”

Dr. Lewis holds the degree of Doctor of Theology and an Honorary Doctorate.

On a personal level, she is a native of Camden, Arkansas and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 10. She is the mother of three sons, grandmother of two granddaughters and one grandson and has one great-grandson.

Following her almost 50 years of working for the Lord in another local vineyard, Dr. Lewis now assists Presiding Elder Travis A. Morris at the great Lewis Metropolitan AME Church!
